Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program

The Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program at Palmetto Health is affiliated with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Division of Geriatric Psychiatry. The fellowship offers a comprehensive and varied range of clinical training and systems-based learning opportunities to physicians who have completed an accredited 4-year residency in Psychiatry interested in pursuing specialty training in the mental health treatment of older adults. Fellows receive training and supervision from board-certified and fellowship trained geriatric psychiatrists in a variety of clinical settings including acute in-patient care, long-term institutional care, community-based care, and research.
